FIX: ‘Print to PDF option not showing in Windows 10’

In Windows 10, printing a document to PDF is in-built features of Operating System. You don’t need to install any third-party software to print your document to PDF. Using this feature, you can convert any document to PDF as well as convert JPEG or PNG image to PDF. If your print to PDF option is not working in Windows 10 then you might have to enable the in-built feature.

Even if you have enabled Microsoft print to PDF option in your Windows 10 operating system and still you are not able to save your document to PDF then you might need to re-install Microsoft print to PDF feature in your Windows 10. Re-installing the above features in your Windows 10 means first disable and then enable to fix the issue. You can follow the below steps to enable or re-install the option.

Here, I am not getting an option ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’ under printer name, while converting PNG to PDF in Windows 10. Let’s solve this issue.

Enable Microsoft Print to PDF options in Windows 10

  1. Go to Start >> Run or press Window key + R to open the run window. Type ‘appwiz.cpl’ in the Run window to open the ‘Program & Features’ window of the control panel.open-window-feature
  1. In the ‘Program & Features’ window click on ‘Turn Windows features on or off’ option present at the left side of the screen.

  1. Windows features screen will show you different options. Scroll down to find the ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’ option. To enable the option, click on the checkbox for the ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’ option and click on the ‘OK’ button. Enabling this option doesn’t require a system restart.

  1. If you want to re-install the above feature in Windows 10, first uncheck the option and click on the OK button. Now follow steps from 1 to 3 to enable features. Using these steps you will be able to re-install the feature in Windows 10.

Now if you will try to convert my PNG to PDF on Windows 10, you will get the option of Microsoft Print to PDF option under printer name.

Using the above steps, you can enable the ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’ option in Windows 10. Now you can save you any file in PDF format and share it with your friends. You don’t have to struggle to install any third-party software or you don’t have to search for any online tool to convert your document to PDF.
